Male Torso That Left His Path 1992-1995
Chakaia Booker's work currently on exhibit at the deCordova Sculpture Park + Museum is a pretty interesting use of old tires. Better then burning them for sure and much more creative then filling up holes in the ground. Most tires are recycled these days though and recycling them into art as opposed to new tires turns spent utility into new creativity. Some of the works i liked and some i did not but on balance this kind of display was new to me and enjoyable.
